Urubu Mobile is an app designed to turn users into a citizen scientists. It is part of a set of technological tools called the Urubu System. It is an initiative of the Brazilian Center for Studies in Road Ecology (CBEE), Federal University of Lavras – MG. Today it is the largest social network for biodiversity conservation in Brazil. They already have almost 20 thousand people collaborating and this number continues to grow. The approved photos will be made available on the Urubu Map (http://sig.bafs.cbee.ufla.br/) and will assist in the definition of locations where the government or concessionaires should install tunnels, speed reducers and other mitigation measures that will protect the Biodiversity and the users of our roadways.
