MetroTrack is a system capable of tracking mobile events using off-the-shelf mobile phones.
While the proof-of-concept prototype implementation of MetroTrack focused on tracking a mobile audio source, we believe that the algorithms and techniques discussed in this paper are more broadly applicable to an emerging class of problems related to the efficient tracking of mobile events using off-the-shelf mobile devices such as mobile phones, PDAs, and mobile embedded sensors.
